Running Wear

Running can take varying forms depending on your preferences, ranging from a once- weekly jog around the park to entering competitions at your local running club, be it sprints, middle distance or long distance running. Many also take part in fun runs, cross country & even half or full marathons. Whatever your choice, you will need running kit that can cope with the demands you put on them. Naturally, you will also want to look great at the same time. You will need to stay cool, dry & free for maximum movement. You will need to make sure you are visible to those around you & due to the high level of intensity your ankles, knees, back & breasts will absorb a lot of that impact. All in all, running kit needs to be hard wearing but sensitive to your needs at the same time. Then you can concentrate on staying in the best shape of your life.

Technical Running Clothes

Running kit therefore needs to cover all these aspects. Aim to wear light clothes that will keep you cool - overheating on a run could spell disaster. Wear clothing that is made from enhanced fabrics that are built to deal with moisture & keep it away from your body. That will keep any irritation to a minimum & mean you won't get weighed down. Also, look for clothes that are cut to your body shape, free your limbs as much as possible & consist of flexible fabrics. That way you will not be restricted in your movement. Bright colours are great for keeping visible, especially in city environments. Florescent green may not be absolutely necessary but some vivid colours & a few reflective details are essential for when conditions are murky at best. Well cushioned trainers will soak up a lot of impact that can affect your joints & a good sports bra will look after your breasts, keeping them in shape.

  • Sweatband - mop up the excess residue with a fitness classic!
  • Water Bottle - stay hydrated at all times, purify the body & clear the skin
  • Sunglasses - If the sun is out, reduce the glare & look great
