Healthy Eating & Nutritional Balance

Be That Body is committed to the prosperity of our clients & healthy eating is an invaluable key to that aim. A balance of nutritional foods, plenty of water, regular exercise & sleep all contribute to a better life. We highly recommend you seek your GP’s advice to make sure you follow a diet suited to your needs, but to get on your way we have put together a few basic ideas to help get you on the right track.

Along with regular exercise, try to eat a good balance of all types of foods. That way your body will store what it needs & burn the excess. Also, you will find that a far more enjoyable way of living your life, rather than switching from one fad diet to another & depriving yourself of the things you like.

The key to a good eating style is to increase the amounts of nutrients you absorb whilst cutting down on the cholesterol, salt, sugar & fat. That way you will be prepared for any illnesses that come your way & hold a much better chance of staving them off. But moderation is a crucial element to any eating, in both content & quantity. That way your body can burn off what it doesn’t need & not get bogged down in large quantities of the more damaging foods you might enjoy. Below is a list of ingredients to consider when thinking about your dietary intake on a typical day.

  • Whole grain foods including brown bread, brown rice & oatmeal are a fantastic source of fiber – which keeps thing moving through the body. Try to include in each meal.
  • Plant oils are a great base from which to cook – olice oil, canola oil, corn oil & sunflower seed oil
  • Loads of vegetables!!
  • 2 -3 portions of fruit
  • Nuts – not salted/roasted
  • 1-2 Dairy products (or calcium supplements) – milk, natural yoghurt
  • 0-2 servings of poultry, fish or eggs
  • Sparing use of white rice, bread, potatoes, pasta & sweets
  • Sparing use of red meat & butter
  • Pure water is the best drink in the world in terms of its bodily value.
  • Red wine & real ale is great in moderation!

A healthy diet goes a lot further than you would imagine, reducing the amount of headaches you get, increasing your sexual drive, strengthening your heart, improving your skin quality and ridding yourself of the damaging effects of alcohol and any other toxins you put in your body. If you start on a sensible eating and living plan like this one, you will be amazed by how clean your body feels, inside & out. Try it, you’ll love it!
