Swimming

Swimming has traditionally been seen as the best form of exercise as it uses the most muscles in the body, at a higher intensity, than any other exercise. Swimming a few lengths can be a great wake up call in the morning, or stress reliever in the evening & helps keep your body at a superior level of physical condition. Also, getting into team sports such as water polo & water volley ball are a great way of getting all the benefits of swimming whilst enjoying a team environment. If all that sounds a little strenuous, then there are tremendous benefits from just heading down to the pool with friends & family & messing around for a few hours to let off some steam & have some fun! Flumes, diving boards, inflatables & rope swings are failsafe sources of amusement.

Swim Health & Fitness

Swimming builds up the body's muscular system to enhance your strength & add definition & tone. It does this quickly & with regular visits it should be fairly easy to maintain a good standard of fitness & body definition. A fantastic cardio-vascular workout, it works the heart muscle particularly hard meaning blood & oxygen can get around your body. Muscles love oxygen & the more they get, the better they work. We do not need to spell out the long term value of a strong & healthy heart...!

Women's Swimming

Swimming should be a sport that gives you a euphoric, relaxing feeling during & once you stop - the kind of exercise that makes you feel good about yourself. Therefore there are a few things to consider to make sure it is all good news! You should consult a doctor if you are pregnant or suffer from any back, joint, heart or ear problems. Also, do not try too hard as your progress curve should be slow & steady, as in any sport. It is dangerous to push yourself too hard, especially in water. Obviously do not eat directly before swimming & obey the local warnings when swimming in the sea. Swimming is a fantastic means of getting exercise in a both stimulating & fun way. Grab your swimmers & dive in!
